We got a lot accomplished today! Here’s the agenda we covered:
Finish reading Act III in small groups
Small group discussion: questions 1-11, p. 874
For the epitaph, students were asked to work in groups of two or three. I read them the epitaph Shakespeare wrote for his own tomb. Students were instructed to write six lines (three rhyming couplets) in iambic pentameter. I also asked them to be sure to use an eloquent, formal tone in their epitaphs.
Hopefully, we will finish the play next week.
Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Chinese New Year.
